Taking Control
This is the flagship program of The Declaration. This three-part, intensive program will focus on the Pillars of Success. These Pillars are not a new concept - many health professionals and programs are based upon similar principles. The integration and simple application found within the Taking Control Program sets it apart. The three Pillars are:
Control
Control what you can control. Simple in theory; difficult in practice. This Pillar gives you the knowledge to controlling your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Cognitive-Behavioural techniques paired with a straightforward, simple strategies will make this Pillar essential in helping you to reach your potential.
Cope
There is SO much we cannot control in life - that's okay. This Pillar helps to refine your focus, reducing your stress, improving your coping responses and simplifying your life. Mindfulness and acceptance-based training help you to - as the great Bruce Lee puts it - "Be water, my friend."
concentrate
In today's technology-driven society, distractions are everywhere. What's more, we spend most of our waking hours comparing ourselves with others. This final Pillar is the icing on the cake - helping you to concentrate on what's important. Understanding your values and skills helps you to put them to use, optimiing your life.
